Meet Dr. Jessica De Leon
Hello, and welcome.
I'm Dr. Jessica De Leon, a licensed psychologist providing therapy to children, adolescents and adults in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and through PSYPACT where authorized. I believe that seeking therapy is one of the most courageous decisions a person can make. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, identity concerns, or simply feeling stuck, my goal is to create a space where you feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported.
As a bilingual psychologist, I provide therapy in both English and Spanish, allowing clients to express themselves in the language that feels most natural. I recognize that culture, family, identity, faith, and lived experiences all influence how we experience the world, and I strive to honor those parts of your story throughout our work together.
My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and evidence-based. I don't believe there is a one-size-fits-all approach to healing. Instead, I work alongside each client to understand their unique strengths, challenges, and goals, tailoring treatment to meet their individual needs. Therapy is not about "fixing" you—it's about helping you better understand yourself, develop effective tools, and move toward the life you want to create.
Throughout my training and career, I have had the privilege of working with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds in university counseling centers, hospitals, community mental health settings, and private practice. These experiences have deepened my appreciation for the resilience people carry, even during life's most difficult seasons. They have also reinforced my belief that meaningful change happens within a safe, trusting therapeutic relationship.
My doctoral research focused on self-actualization and well-being within the Latiné community, reflecting my passion for understanding how culture, identity, and personal growth intersect. This perspective continues to shape my work by helping clients explore not only their challenges, but also their strengths, values, and capacity for growth.
Above all, I want therapy to feel like a place where you can show up authentically—without fear of judgment or pressure to have everything figured out. Healing is rarely linear, but you don't have to navigate it alone. I would be honored to walk alongside you as you work toward greater clarity, resilience, and emotional well-being.
I look forward to meeting you!
